Whiteley & Co was founded by Ben Whiteley in 2018. Our workshop, a converted shipping container, is based at Pollard Yard in Ancoats, Manchester.

Originally from Sheffield, Ben studied Fine Art at The Sheffield College before moving across to Pennines to study Design & Art Direction at Manchester School of Art.

Following his graduation, Ben worked for a number of premium retailers including John Lewis & Partners, Heal’s, And So To Bed and Farrow & Ball. This included visual merchandising roles and extensive training and experience an in-home colour consultant at Farrow & Ball.

Ben began to consider a change in direction in 2015, and started to train in upholstery at the renowned Ministry of Upholstery in Manchester. He then took the leap and set up Whiteley & Co in 2018. Although a new business, Whiteley & Co is already building an excellent reputation in upholstery and interiors, with an extremely satisfied customer base.
