COMMISSIONS

A written quotation will be provided for all commissions. Once the quotation is accepted, a 50% deposit is required prior to the ordering of any fabrics and materials. The balance is due on delivery of the finished piece. Please note that once any work has commenced (including the ordering of materials) the deposit becomes non-refundable and therefore will be retained in the event of cancellation.

VINTAGE ITEMS

Please note that items described as vintage are just that – vintage – and as such are sold in worn condition. Please be aware they will almost always come with marks and wear consistent with their age. We rarely list every mark and scratch as often they add to the character of a piece and in no way detract from the beauty of the item, however we will of course note any major issues or blemishes in the product description.

If you are interested in a vintage product but concerned about the condition of the item, please call or email us to request further product shots or to arrange to come look at the item before ordering. We are always happy to help.

In the event of being unhappy with a ready made vintage item, please note that if the item was delivered by private courier, we would expect for it to be returned to us in the same way and in te same level of packaging; a cost which you are liable for. Please bear this in mind and ensure you are happy with such an item before ordering. Any any customised vintage items (e.g. ‘Bespoke Vintage’ items purchased from our Store) are considered Bespoke and thherefore cannot be returned.

BESPOKE ITEMS

Please note that bespoke items tailored to your requirements cannot be returned unless faulty.

SALE ITEMS

Please note that the sales of all sale items (those displaying a reduced price) are final and no exchange, credit note or refund will be offered in this instance. As such, the conditions laid out in ‘Delivery & Returns’ do not apply.

INTERIOR CONSULTANCY

The following Terms & Conditions apply to our Interior Consultancy service. Please note that you will be required to sign your acceptence of these prior to the commencement of your appointment.

1) Interior Consultancy is charged at £175.00 per hour and is payable at the time of booking (£175.00 for first hour, then subsequent charges of £87.50 for half hours booked thereafter). Alternatively Half Day (up to 3.5 hours) and Full Day (up to 7.0 hours) can be booked for £425.00 and £750.00 respectively. For this fee you will receive a visit to your home to discuss colour schemes and fabrics.

We will discuss colour, style and appropriate usage of premium paints, wallpapers and paint finishes along with fabrics for curtains, upholstery and soft furnishings. You will then be provided with a specification report for each suggested scheme.

Hourly - The minimum booking time is one hour. If your consultation lasts less than one hour no refund shall be made. If it lasts longer than one hour additional charges may be applicable. Additional charges are payable within 3 business days. In the event that we are required to travel outside of our complimentary travel area (20 miles from Manchester city centre), the consultation may be subject to a minimum two hour appointment plus travel expenses payable at 45p per mile for each mile beyond 20 miles.

Half Day - The charge covers an appointment upto 3.5 hours. If your consultation lasts less than the full appointment no refund shall be made. If it lasts longer than alotted time, additional charges may be applicable charged in half hour increments. Additional charges are payable within 3 business days. In the event that we are required to travel outside of our complimentary travel area (20 miles from Manchester city centre), the consultation may be subject to travel expenses payable at 45p per mile for each mile beyond 20 miles.

Full Day - The charge covers an appointment upto 7.0 hours. If your consultation lasts less than the full appointment no refund shall be made. If it lasts longer than alotted time, additional charges may be applicable charged in half hour increments. Additional charges are payable within 3 business days. In the event that we are required to travel outside of our complimentary travel area (20 miles from Manchester city centre), the consultation may be subject travel expenses payable at 45p per mile for each mile beyond 20 miles.

2) Our Interior Consultancy is an aesthetic advisory service only, providing advice in relation to colour schemes and fabrics.  Drawings illustrating the design are not provided, neither is it a project management service. The cost of paints, wallpapers and fabrics specified are not included in the service fee.

3) In the event that a client dislikes a proposed or completed scheme, we cannot be held responsible. Please therefore ensure that you are fully satisfied with the proposed colour scheme before the consultation finishes and before placing any subsequent orders. If in any doubt we advise you to try samples of the products specified.

4) Estimates of product quantities required are provided (if requested) in good faith based on measurements taken during the consultation. However, these do not take into account variables such as, but not limited to, porosity and/or condition of current plaster work, openings such as windows and doors, increased surface area due to decorative mouldings and design details such as sytle of curtain headings. We would advise that you or your chosen contractor check and confirms quantities of all products prior to placing any subsequent order(s) with your chosen supplier. Advice given in relation to application and use is also given in good faith, but you should confirm your individual requirements with your contractor.

5) We will use reasonable endeavours to attend on the day and at the time agreed. However, we shall not be held liable in relation to any matter (e.g. cancelled appointments or late arrival for an appointment) where such default arises as a result of any event outside of our reasonable control including, but not limited to, travel disruption.

6) Without prejudice to the above (and in particular 3), 4) and 5) we shall not be held liable for any loss or damage including consequential losses (e.g. any additional contractor costs) howsoever arising as a result of (a) our advice or (b) any delayed or cancelled appointment beyond the value of the fees paid by the client. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

7) These terms and conditions shall be governed by English Law and any dispute arising under or in connection with them shall be decided by the English Courts.
